LEVEL 1
Requirement
Six months of consecutive lessons
Complete Practice Stars Challenge

Learn 4 pieces of music
Attend 1 live music performance
Play for family or friends
1 solo performance
Submit reflection
Criteria
-
Must attend a minimum of 2 lessons/ month for 6 consecutive months
-
Practice goals/ targets as set by the student's teacher.
-
Must earn 4 stars and prize within the allotted challenge time
-
A piece can be an etude, study, exercise, or musical piece.
-
Teachers have the authority to determine what is considered a piece of music.
-
Performances must be given by professional musicians in a formal setting (ie ticketed seats or paid entry).
-
Perform a musical selection for extended family or friends not residing in the same home as the student.
-
Performances can take place at home, school, in LSM masterclasses or group classes.
-
LSM Recitals are not included in this requirement.
-
Perform solo or with a teacher at an LSM Recital
-
Format can be a written reflection, a video recording, or an artistic rendering by the student of what they have learned during the completion of the applicable level.

Twelve months of consecutive lessons
Complete Practice Stars Challenge

Complete 50 Days of Practice Challenge

Learn 8 pieces of music
Attend 2 live music performances
Complete one LSM camp, group or ensemble enrollment
Play for family or friends
Perform at an LSM Market or Event
2 solo performances
