Yohali Montero

Violin

A passionate and enthusiastic teacher, Yohali is assistant to outstanding pedagogue Kelly Parkins-Lindstrom, conducting orchestras, coaching chamber ensembles, and leading group violin lessons at the Oscar Peterson School. Born into a musical family, Yohali initiated her younger siblings' musical education, giving them violin and piano lessons, and she enjoys practicing and playing with them for family and friends when she is in her hometown of Santo Domingo.

Recognized as a Young Leader Representative of the Dominican Republic by the Fine Arts Foundation for Human Development, Yohali is founder of Interludios de Esperanza, an outreach program aimed at educating and promoting classical music in all provinces of the Dominican Republic. As a performer she has
been concertmaster of the National Youth Symphony Orchestra, the Juan Pablo Duarte Symphony Orchestra of the National Conservatory of Music, Hispaniola Philharmonic, and the UASD Chamber Orchestra.

Always a lover of adventures and outdoor activities, Yohali finds joy in exploring new places and photographing captivating sceneries. Yohali is a devout Christian and regularly serves in her local church as part of their worship team.
