Sabina Rzazade

Piano

Originally from Baku, Azerbaijan, Sabina Rzazade began playing piano at the age of eight. She was a prize winner at the 2014 “Future Stars” in Baku (Azerbaijan), the 2015 Frederic Chopin Competition in Narva (Estonia), and placed first in the 2016 Konstantin Igumnov International Competition in Lipetsk (Russia). She performed with the Azerbaijan State Chamber Orchestra in 2014 and 2015, and the Symphonic Orchestra of Azerbaijan in 2016 and 2017.

Upon moving to Canada in 2017 to study under Alexander Tselyakov, Sabina participated in and took prizes at numerous competitions and festivals at the local and provincial level. In addition to holding the position of piano accompanist with the Suzuki Talent Educational Program at Brandon University, Sabina led a studio of private students and cultivated her personal teaching style.

In November 2019 Sabina performed with the Winnipeg Symphony Orchestra under Naomi Woo for the WSO in Brandon Concert Series. More recently, she relocated to Toronto where she is completing her Master's degree in Collaborative Piano at the University of Toronto.
