Ivan Tapel

Piano

Ivan began learning the piano at the age of 19. He initially wanted to pursue a career heavily involved in mathematics but fell quickly in love with the instrument and decided to pursue it. He is a recent graduate of University of Toronto where he studied under the guidance of Mia Bach and has been teaching privately for five years. Ivan enjoys teaching students of all ages. As a proud uncle of four, he loves to incorporate games and activities with his young students and encourages diligence and discipline amongst his adult students. Ivan likes to take an individualized approach to ensure success and he creates a safe space so students can feel comfortable and can express themselves freely. Away from music, he enjoys playing games with his nieces and nephew, going to the gym, and spending time with family and friends.
