Solana Frebold
Violin/ Viola
Solana Frebold began her violin studies at age three in her hometown, Banff, Alberta. In 2019, she graduated from the Advanced Performance Program at Mount Royal University where she studied with Joan Barrett. She is a graduate from McGill University, completing her undergraduate degree with Axel Straus, and is currently completing her artist diploma at The Royal Conservatory, Glenn Gould School under the direction of Barry Shiffman, and Erika Raum. Solana is a full tuition recipient courtesy of the Dr. Neville and Vivienne Poy Scholarship.
Learning a love of music first in a Suzuki program, Solana approaches teaching the violin and viola by incorporating natural skill sets, like singing and clapping, setting up a more free and relaxed musician. With a focus on individual learning styles and goals, Solana aims to make the creative learning process an exciting journey for her students.
