Kelly Sanchuck

Flute, Clarinet & Saxophone

Kelly Sanchuk’s CV depicts a fantastic breadth of education and experience across many performance mediums and across many genres. A graduate of the University of Regina with a Bachelor of Music in Performance (Clarinet, Bass Clarinet), Kelly continued her studies at the University of Regina earning a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Acting. In 2005 and 2006 at the Regina Musical Festival, Kelly won first place prizes in the Bass Clarinet Recital class and the Concerto for Woodwind and Orchestra class, and she was further distinguished with a Senior Woodwind Scholarship. A grant-funded trip to Ostrava, Czech Republic enabled Kelly to attend The International Masterclasses for Clarinet and Saxophone, a highlight of her musical education to date. Kelly’s diverse performance background includes work with the Regina Symphony Orchestra,Regina Winds, the University of Regina Wind Ensemble and Concert Band, Regina Lyric Music Theatre and Regina’s Globe Theatre. Also passionate about acting, Kelly is a self-professed musical theatre fanatic, and is co-founder of The Blue Room Theatre Company in Regina. Prior to moving to Toronto in 2012, Kelly taught with the Regina Public School Board as a Woodwind Clinician, with the Prairie Valley School Division as a Beginner Band Instructor, at a summer band camp in Regina as Clarinet Instructor, and at a private music school in Regina teaching flute, clarinet and saxophone.
