Esder Lee

Violin

Esder is currently pursuing her studies at the Glenn Gould School in the Artist Diploma Program (Pedagogy Stream) with Erika Raum and Min-Jeong Koh. She has previously studied at the University of Toronto under the guidance of Jonathan Crow where she received a Master of Music Degree, and at McGill University, Schulich School of Music, where she studied with Jinjoo Cho, and at Oberlin Conservatory.

During her studies, Esder has received numerous scholarships including the Terence Clarkson and Cornelis van de Graaff Graduate Scholarship, and University of Toronto Fellowship.
A passionate performer, Esder participated in the Toronto Summer Music Festival in 2021, the Colorado College Summer Festival in 2022 and Korean National Symphony Orchestra Academy this past summer.

In addition, she is a devoted teacher and regularly works with the students in the Oscar Peterson School assisting Kelly Parkins-Lindstorm. Esder is particularly interested in teaching young musicians, providing guidance and inspiration to help them excel in their lives in and outside of music.
