Sarah finally began her violin studies at age 6 after starting to ask for violin lessons at age 3. She went on to complete her Bachelors of Music in violin at the University of Toronto, studying with Katherine Rapoport and Annalee Patipatanakoon, and afterwards studied violin pedagogy with Vanessa Mio. Sarah is a recognized Suzuki teacher with the Suzuki Association of the Americas, and her Suzuki teacher training has included teacher development all over North America. She has also trained in the Mimi Zweig and Paul Rolland methods of music education and incorporates the Alexander Technique into her teaching for a healthy, body-friendly way of playing and enjoying violin. Sarah is passionate about inspiring a love for violin and music, and excellence in playing and teaching violin. When she is not teaching violin, Sarah enjoys going on long walks with her husband and dog, taking care of her indoor jungle and digging in her veggie garden.
