Haoqian (Hannah) Zheng

Violin

Haoqian Zheng earned her Master of Music degree and Graduate Performance Diploma in Violin Performance at the Boston Conservatory where she studied with Markus Placci. She has taught violin since 2006 in China. With both parents being professional musicians, she grew up to the sound of music in her household. Haoqian began her piano training with her father when she was 5 years old, and continued with the violin with her mother when she was 7. She has studied extensively with renowned violin professors of Central Conservatory of Music and Shanghai Conservatory of Music in China. She has been teaching students of different ages and levels, from very beginner through the advanced college level. In addition to private violin lessons, Haoqian has also taught group lessons, chamber music and music theory. She was formerly a Violin Instructor at the Central Conservatory of Music, Beijing, China.

In the year of 2020, Haoqian joined IMPO String Orchestra, there she recorded violin parts for the original sound track of many Chinese movies, such as “The Wandering Earth2”, “Nice View” and “The Battle at Lake Changjin”. As an active performer, Haoqian has visited Schoebrunn, Vienna as a violinist and she also had the opportunity to visit the University of Memphis and the University of Central Arkansas, and performed there as a violinist with the East China Normal University Symphony Orchestra. She has also appeared with Conway Symphony Orchestra as Principal of second violin and the Cape Ann Orchestra, Boston.
