Catherine Wang

Piano

Originally from Mississauga, Catherine began studying piano at the age of 8. In 2021, she received her Bachelor of Music degree with a specialization in Music Theory and History from the University of Toronto. During her undergrad, she studied piano under the instruction of the late Professor Boyanna Toyich. Currently, she is pursuing her passion for education by completing her Master of Teaching degree at the University of Toronto's Ontario Institute for Studies in Education.

Catherine has been teaching piano to students of all ages and levels for over five years and is passionate about making music fun and engaging. She is dedicated to creating individualized lesson plans for each of her students to help them achieve their musical goals. Catherine is also experienced with preparing her students for RCM practical and theory exams. She is a RCM certified teacher and holds an ARCT diploma with Honours in Theory and History.

In her spare time, Catherine enjoys spending time with family, hiking and finding new restaurants in Toronto to try!
